The Way of Wolverine

Live each moment as if it was your last.
Live your life like its an adventure.

I'm sure we've all felt that we should do this at one point or another, perhaps even took some steps and broke out of our mundane routine to really experience life. Perhaps it was to jump out of an airplane, or get up on stage for the first time on karaoke night, or even tell the people close to you how much you really care about them and really feel it and mean it with all your heart and soul.
Often though, after the dust settles, we fall back into our routines. Every so often the pattern repeats itself.
For me, the game is always on. Be like a child at play, constantly creating and flowing, using your imagination and passion. The Earth is one big playground, so get on out there and play!

The Log

One of the most amazing teaching tools is know as - the log. Its made from 100% log. You can carry it around (see picture) as a team and be forced to do various exercises- sit ups, squats, push ups, you may even have to carry someone around. It can be carried over all kinds or terrain-land water, throguh the brush, uphill, downhill.
You can even use it as a bridge over water and walk across it blindfolded. Rumor has it some have even sparred against their partner while blindfolded on the log.

Everything Tells a Story

This past Sunday it was a special day to honor Mother's and Motherhood; from our own Mothers, Grandmothers, etc to our Mother the Earth, and to our Grandmother the Moon. It was fitting some of my own family celebrated at a Jazz and Quilt brunch at the Pequot Meseum and Research center.
Along with the beautiful and soulfull music played by a jazz trio, an amazing trio of quilters shared their stories and craft and the meaning of quilting.
One message was that we should remember that everything tells a story; be it a quilt, a necklace, even the clothes we wear. Never miss an opportunity to tell a story to teach from the experiences of your life and the lives of those who came before you. I took it also to mean to go out and have experiences, to work on your craft and your skills so as to work on the story of your necklace , quilt, poem, or your 'job'.
As I tracker I know that our stories are constantly being told, whether we know it or not. So say 'yes' to the adventure of life and let your story be told.

Wolf Brother

One of the finest books I've had the pleasure to read is 'Wolf Brother'. If you love the outdoors or have always looked at life as and adventure then this book is for you.
For those of us who spent their youthful days exploring the woods in search of a mystical wise man or woman to teach us the secrets that nature holds, then 'The Tracker' is a must.
Rounding out the top 3 is the 'Ranger's Apprentice'. When I saw the title - my mind said 'LOTR rip off' however my heart told my different and maybe so will yours. You won't be disappointed.

Peace and Good Fortune,
Wolfbrother

Tracks

In our short time here, remember to give as much as you can. And always leave good tracks.
